The History of Craft

Since 1974 we have worked hard to create an ideal microclimate for top class athletes and keep-fit exercisers. Our goal has been to develop highly functional clothing that efficiently transports moisture from the skin and provides excellent ventilation for regulating body temperature. Clothing designed to help the wearer deliver peak performance.

Craft underwear was originally developed for Swedish Air Force pilots to wear under their flying suits. The weave proved to be excellent for transporting moisture away and improving body climate during virtually every type of vigorous physical exertion, with increased performance capacity as a result. Craft further developed the concept and launched it on the sports market in the 1970s, a time when Sweden enjoyed its greatest ever skiing successes. Underwear from Craft rapidly became a byword for unique functionality and came to be worn by ever increasing circles of aficionados worldwide, ranging from top class athletes to keep-fit exercisers.
